This is a Chinese movie title redesign of the war animation "Grave of the Fireflies" directed by Isao Takahata (original novel written by Nosaka Akiyuki). The concept of the latest version is combining the symbolic meaning from fireflies (soul). Also, the colors and abstract appearance of fire which indicates war. At the same time, the Chinese character is different for “蟲” so as to present the fighter craft in the sky, which synchronizes the older and subtle version published.
